Been thinking of getting a RPR in 6.5 creedmor and Im starting to see people talk about shooting out their barrels.  Just curious what kind of life people are seeing before they notice a drop in performance or when they determine its time to change barrels due to it being shot out.

And why it seems like more of an issue with 6.5 CM?

Probably 2500 depending on during schedule. Likely more if you're not beating on.  Barrels are like tires on a car if you can shoot them out replacing them isn't a big deal.

I have around 1800 rounds down the tube of my 6.5 Creedmoor gasser and it's shooting great.  I don't beat on it, but when I'm at the annual machine gun shoot I do warm it up a bit.
