Amongst a few boxes of Lake City M118 Match ammo I had in an ammo can, I found this.....a box of 1965 Remington 168gr HP Match ammo.... and am having a tough time figuring out exactly what it is...

There are some casual references to it on the cartridge collectors sites to its use at Ft. Benning at International matches in the 60's, but not much else I can find....

Any ideas???

I would not open the box if you intend on selling it.

Based on the labeling it is 168 grain match bullets seated long for single feeding at 600 yards or 300 yard International Match Tournaments.

Having only one box it's worth more to you for sale on the collectors market. I shoot ammo, then collect the brass.

66, 67, and 68 seems to be the most common out there for some reason, I have a bunch of 67 in the eagle boxes along with about 10 boxes of .45 acp match stuff that I have left. I shot some up a few years ago and it shot pretty well for 50 year old ammo.
