Not sure if this is of interest anyone else... But I finally got the Aero M5 6.5 rifle I assembled a couple of week to the range, to tune the Superlative gas block and get some data from my Labradar.

Wasn't sure what to expect velocity wise out of the 22" barrel (JP HP bolt) but here are the numbers:

Atmospherics: 36.5F, 57%H 263ft, 29.344Hg.

Federal Gold Berger 130gr: 2715 fps
Hornady ELD Match 140gr: 2610 fps

My bold prediction around 50-60 fps... Curious to see where my velocity goes when the temperature goes >70F.

I have a 22" 6.5 Creedmoor. The data below was from Hornady 140grn BTHP American Hunter.

Atmospheric:
81 F
84% H
30.16 in/Hg
Sea level

Average velocity of 50 rounds,  2672 fps.

Hornady stated velocity printed on the box is 2690. I haven't chrony'd precision hunters or match yet,  but grouping off all three is real good.  I really want to get my reloading equipment set back up and develop some loads for my rifle. Barrel is a 22" Rainer Ultramatch.

I'll grab more data this weekend along with some for my 6mm Creedmoor. It'll be interesting to see how that compares to Hornady's printed.

I also have a 20in 6.5C, my velocity with the 140 Hornady box ammo is 2630ish for Black, 2670ish for the ELD match.

My rifle is mostly Aero Prec, including a Superlative gas block, rifle length gas.

20in only because of the type of competition I shoot.

My match load with a 130gr ELD is 2750fps, 140gr ELD is 2640fps, both with H4350. Preferred load is the 130gr.

I live in Fl, so my shooting temps are usually over 70deg, and I shoot at sea level.

Just for comparison.
