On the packaging of the cleaning kit it says that it cleans .30/.308/30-30/30-06/7mm/7.62
Isn't 7mm .280? Wouldn't the bore brush potentially damage the barrel? |

You should learn up on hardness. Short answer no, long answer no. Excessive cleaning and improper cleaning methods cause damage. Bristles being too long only means they'll be less effective.
