I have a Konus 80 spotting scope that has been a solid spotting scope at shorter ranges for several years.
It's nowhere near the expensive end of spotting scopes, but I'd like to give it a decent padded case for protection.
Currently I go pretty ghetto by wrapping bubble wrap around the scope and stuffing it inside the cheapo nylon case included with the scope. This nylon case is starting to come apart, so even my very jerry-rigged scope case won't last for much longer.
I did a Google search and came up with two possible options:
Champion's Choice 80-82mm Deluxe Padded Scope Cover , an inexpensive option at $40
or
Creedmoor Sports Custom Scope Cover , more expensive at $60, but available in more color options
I have no experience with either vendor. Any firsthand experience with either scope cover or shop? Anything else I should look at? Considering this is a $200ish spotting scope, my limit for a cover is around $75
