Does anyone have any info on old Marlin .22 mag bolt action rifle manufactured in 1975? This was my first rifle and I took it out of storage and the barrel is rusted, but the stock is in excellent condition. It appears to be rusted on the outside, but not in the barrel itself. Ruger now owns the rights to Marlin Manufacturing and they have no info, no parts, or any repairing on older Marlin firearms. Any advice? Thanks.

mag fed or tube fed?  I used to own a mag fed 25M , fun varmint rifle.

eta: what's wrong with yours besides surface rust ?

It's mag fed....I don't see anything else wrong with it, except a good cleaning and oiling.

Did you check Numrich for parts? Also, eBay and gunbroker.

But you may not need parts. Try OOO steel wool (oiled) on the barrel exterior.

Came here to suggest the same, except I use finer furniture grade 0000.  Use a little oil or rust solvent like PB Blaster with the with the 0000.
