That Krieger barrel is a Hammer. I have the same one. It shoots Hornady American Gunner so well I haven’t bothered to try other Ammo in it.

Here's my recently built Aero M5.  It has a 18", Nitrided, 416R Criterion Hybrid .308 barrel and the optic is a Weaver Tactical (LOW)  3-15x50mm with the EMDR reticle on a ADM 20 MOA Recon mount.

Got my new Vortex 5-25x54 FFP leveled and mounted on my Aero Precision 18” rifle today. This rifle shoots quarter sized groups. Can’t wait to really let her stretch her legs with this new glass.

I’ve never used a Nightforce or any of the really high end glass but I like what I’m seeing with this scope. All the features you’d want for tactical long range shooting and a solid price point.

Learned a lot since this was first assembled. Range goes out to 300 yards and I'm aching for more now. Also learned that 6x24 is a bit of a waste when I don't magnify more than 8x at 300 yards. Also learned that I love the UBR stock and want a few more.

thanks and so far its great. I had a mk5 5-25 on it originally which was just too much for it and ended up swapping to a gen2 razor 3-18. while being optically good it was just a brick sitting ontop of the rifle. I ended up with this and feel its a pretty happy median as far as weight and size go.Clarity/eyebox/fov are great and with the prices these can be had for on sale these days its real hard to pass up.

Hows that n6 shoot? I was looking at them prior to purchasing my cc sr25.

Awesome! Great to hear. I have a soft spot for Steiners. I had the 5-25 and it was sweet.

The N6 is sweet, but it is a fully custom build. It’s a 16 inch 6.5 Creedmoor. It’s a smooth shooter. I’m in the process of revamping it. I sent it off to get cerakoted and I’m contemplating fluting the barrel. Oh and I just got a Spuhr Mount for the Mark 5.

The end result should be pretty nice.

Was that a full “custom” build or built off a complete N6 rifle?  Either way, what barrel do you have in it or who did the chop work on it?  Tossing around the idea of a 16” 6.5C and trying to come up with a good option barrel wise that won’t have an enormous gas port/any function issues.  Ultimate goal is to not have to dick around with an adjustable GB, but I know they pretty much end up being mandatory on a lot of large frame guns, especially suppressed.

Full custom in the fact that I bought the stripped upper receiver, lower, and rail and put it all together.

The barrel is a Criterion 16 inch rifle length 6.5CM barrel.

Yes. I have a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block. I can also adjust the buffer weight and spring, and even the bolt carrier if I want to.

I have a JP variable mass BCG and a JP silent captured spring system.

Pulled the criterion 16" mid 308 out and threw in a criterion 18" rifle length in 6.5creed. I had a bunch of 6.5 ammo left over from my bolt gun so I pulled the 308 out and used it for another project. I have an sr25 as well so having two 16" 308's wasn't necessary

Can’t remember if I have posted this here yet. Built this after deployment a couple of years ago. Started off as a diamondback db15. Swapped out the stock for a windham weaponry A2 stock, got a 18inch faxon barrel, 15inch YHM handguard, and a YHM gas block. Right now I just have a Bushnell Banner 4to16x scope on it, but I haven’t had any issues with it. I’m able to shoot an 1” at a hundred with 55gr NATO ammo. I’m hoping I can bring that group size down with some heavier bulletsAttachment Attached File

aero lower and spikes upper
home done cerakote job

still need to order up a bolt, adjustable gas block, charging handle, I have a leupold mk5 3-18 I'll be putting on it or my Steiner M8xi, still undecided

Built my first couple AR's a few years ago and always wanted an AR-10 for hunting. I started ordering parts for this in November and finished it up last weekend. I had two goals for the build: 1) Keep the build cost under $1k for the rifle, and 2) Shoot 1 MOA or better. All in all, I spent $1059 on the build (I already had the optic, Magpul MOE stock, and one of the members here sent me a free Mil-spec trigger), I'm happy with how it shoots.

Lower:

Aero M5 Lower
Aero M5 LPK - Trigger
Trigger is Mil-spec unit a member here supplied me with
Magpul MOE stock in FDE
Aero Buffer Kit

Upper:

Aero M5 Upper
Ballistic Advantage 20" .308 Modern Series Heavy Profile Barrel
Aero BCG
Radical Firearms Ghost Flash Hider
Strike Industries C/H with Extended Latch
Aero Gas Block
Expo Arms Rifle Length Gas Tube
Samson's New SXS-762 Lightweight 18" Handguard in M-Lok
Magpul FDE M-Lok Rail Covers

Optic:

Primary Arms GLX 20 MOA Scope Mount
Vortex PST 4-16 FFP MRAD Scope

The last picture is a picture of a 3-shot group at 100 yards off the bipod with no rear bag after sighting in.

I didn't do a 'break-in' procedure on the barrel, and the group was within the first 10 shots the rifle fired. Hoping for better groups as the barrel gets more used
