RPrimfire.  The thing likes cci standard.  It had on a bushnell xrs from another rifle.  I am trying one of the anthon scopes on it now which I like because of its ability to focus closer in.  We will see if that and the cheap rings get to stay.  I look forward to testing various other ammo types through it.  I don't particularly dislike the trigger but I will be interested to continue watching and reading up on what is coming out.  My 6mm has a timney in it and I like that much better.

Savage B22 FV-SR wearing a Bushnell 6-18x rimfire. Just got it last week and ran about 300 rounds through it, I’m in love! Only thing I plan to do it get a Boyd’s stock eventually.

Here’s what I found for ammo:
The good:
Gemtech subs - awesome, got a few groups under an inch at 100
Remington Thunderbolt - damn near as good as the Gemtech but not subs

The bad (all 2”-4”):
CCI mini mags
Winchester M22
Federal suppressor

Got some Federal Gold Medal Target, SK Standard Plus, Eley Club, Eley Target and Eley Subsonic Hollow that I’m going to try this weekend.

KIDD .22LR Supergrade Premium Rifle Custom Build

This was the very first 10 shot group at 50 yards.  I don't know what it measures but that has to be sub .5 moa.  Damn flyer messed up something of beauty.  I'll blame myself and not the gun.  Trigger is something I had to get use to.  Two stage at 8 oz a stage.

I just replaced my At-One stock on my CZ 455 with a McRees G10. I found one used for a great price and I have no regrets. It fits great and it's rock solid, without being too heavy.

CZ 455 Tacticool Suppressor Ready

Adding a Weaver V16 scope later this week to get a smaller crosshair...the Vortex crosshair is covers quite a bit of target @ 50 yards.

Its the MPA Enhanced Vertical Grip.  The rifle is a CZ455 Varmint in a Rigid Alloy Prototype Chassis, but they are shipping production units very soon.  Has the YoDave trigger upgrade, Magpul PRS stock, Area 419 scope base, Warne rings, Primary Arms R-Grid scope, Silencerco Warlock2, Glades Armory bolt knob, Chicom bi-pod (need to upgrade but haven't had any issues with this one), Lonestar Armory scope level.

My 455 in a McMillan stock.  Varmint barrel chopped and threaded.  It usually has a Griffin Rev 9 on there set up with direct thread end, k-config, and .22 end cap.  Scope is a Leupold MK4 16x.

My son has a similar rifle.  He has the same stock as me but with a different pattern camo.  His rifle has a standard American barrel that has been chopped and threaded.  He usually has an Gemtech Outback II threaded on there.  Right now he is more comfortable with a red dot sight so that's what we have on there for him.

His rifle is MUCH lighter!

This one came with a Lyman 90 MJT rear sight with a Merit Master rear aperture and a Lyman 93 front sight.  I kept the 90 MJT but turned modified an adapter to allow the use of European rear apertures, in this case Gehmann rear aperture.  I also replaced the front sight with a Gehmann front sight.

It shoots quite well -  five shots at 50 yards, with Sk Standard Plus:

I shot competively with one of these that was a club gun so it got left in a shipping container year round. It’s so weird to see what it should have looked like, had it been treated right.

I've done some revisions on mine. It now has a BScar 2 stage 6 ounce trigger and a Keystone Accuracy 24" glue-in barrel. The current scope is an Athlon 10-40 benchrest scope. The target was shot at 50 yards using Lapua X-Act ammo.

Thanks to Jason at EuroOptic for finding me a CW 5-45 for my funny brain (CCW knobs and I dont get along) and Andy at Hawkins Precision for making a kick ass mount, my Vudoo has a new scope.

I relaxed at the range today with some friends plinking out to 300 yards.

Now to get on the stick and make a decent scope lever for this and my 5-20s.

Build write-up - https://www.ocabj.net/precision-rifle-project-series-vudoo-gun-works-v-22/

Component list:

  • Vudoo Gun Works V-22 barreled action, Bartlein 20" MTU contour (30 MOA base) in FDE - $1770

  • TriggerTech Diamond Pro Curved - $290

  • Masterpiece Arms BA Competition Chassis - $999

  • American Rifle Company M10 34mm, 28mm height scope rings - $180

  • KAHLES K525i 5-25x56mm LSW SKMR3 - $3299

Not many rounds down the pipe, yet. Unfortunately, barreled action was received and built during a vacation blackout at work so I'm still breaking it in. Center-X seems to shoot better than SK, though.
