Since their barrels are clamped into the receiver using screws, is this still considered a free floating barrel?

I like the newer barrel system, but I definitely like how the older receivers have an integral rail.

I cannot count how many times I had to re-tap the threads on a Ruger receiver because they stripped. Makes me think Ruger receivers are manufactured from recycled soda cans.
