I just received the aforementioned rifle with an Osprey Global 10x40/50mm and it has never been fired. I have been wanting to add a quality firearm of the .308/7.62 variety to my collection. There are things about the rifle that I normally do not gravitate towards, like overly aggressive markings/engravings or apocalyptic type weaponry. As the rifle was a no strings attached gift (there is some sentimentality), so I am considering selling the rifle for one that fits me better. Am I better off not firing it and selling/trading it for something else? I will gladly shoot it and treat it like my others if any trades would be lateral. There are most certainly things I like about it and my CGS Hyperion seems comfortable sitting on the end. I know the scope is not what I would have purchased and will most likely switch that out, so I am not super concerned with that part. I have very little intentions of taking it out past 800 very often as there are only a few places I shoot that provide much more than 600.

I am looking for any feed back as I am completely unfamiliar with the rifle and company.

Thanks in advance,
cmks
