Has anyone tried Hornady AMAX Black 308 168gr?

I went to the range yesterday to try my (new to me) SSG69 with a couple boxes of federal gold medal match 168 and it did rather well at 200yds.  I also had a box of the Hornady black and that performed better.  I had shots touching each other at that range.  I was really surprised how it outperformed the federal

I haven’t. I usually get the Hornady 168 AMAX in the red LE box, no clue if it’s considerably difference than the Black line. It shoots well for me too.

I have also only shot the red box LEO stuff. My RPR absolutely loves it and shoots it better than the federal SMKG.

Has anyone tried Hornady AMAX Black 308 168gr?
