Probably not a big seller and they are blowing out dead inventory .
Why anyone would want a bolt gun in 7.62x39 is something to ponder . I have a Howa in .308 with the Hogue stock and it was only $349.00 when I bought it back in 2008 from CDNN, nice rifle after I put a Timney trigger in it .

Now that a good deal in a great caliber . They ought to sell out in a heartbeat.

I think these were probably a good seller, and still are, but I think they are clearing out the old stock of barreled actions with heavy barrels that aren't threaded.

I've had my eye on the 300 Win Mag that's on sale.

I think that's exactly it.  I'm waiting for a .223 HB mini with the new 1:8 twist (all Howa .223 will be 1:8).  Matt from LSI, said all the new ones are "on the way"

That's the story of my life. If it weren't for lay away I'd be weaponless.

I'm probably going to grab one.  I've been looking at possible loads with some of the new bullets on the market.  Would make a nice ELR foundation....you know, for when I am capable and have opportunity to shoot ELR.

I was tempted, but the lack of chassis options kept me from pulling the trigger.

Did you check Brownell's?  I looked at the MDT options they carry and heavily considered this one:

https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/stock-parts/rifle-stocks/howa-1500-brn-1-precision-chassis-prod116296.aspx

I may upgrade to that one later, but for now I'm going with a Boyd's pro varmint.  They start at $137 for the black, I upgraded to an adjust cheek comb for $60 more.

Same sale going on this Memorial Weekend. I picked up a mini-action 6.5 Grendel and chassis stock.

Got my 300 WM bedded to my Boyd's pro-varminter stock.  My barreled action came with a nice matte black finish, all my other Howa's have been blued.  20 MOA Talley base should be here later today, hopefully I can start break-in and load development tomorrow or this weekend.

My SGT has a Ruger American in 7.62x39 with an ACSS 7.62x39 scope and he has slayed several deer with it the past 2 years and swears by it.

My .300 WM heavy barrel came threaded and with a threaded bolt handle.
