Looking for a tripod to replace my slik 700. I ordered an innoreal RT90c and tried to out over the weekend but it’s on the way back. It’s rock solid but the weight is too much to deal with. The above two options are what I’ve been considering if anyone has any input on those, but open to suggestions. Budget is probably $600, or i’d just get a RRS and be done with it.

I’ll be strictly shooting with it. I hunt coyotes at night so I’ll be carrying and shooting with it 100% of the time I’m in the field. I’ll be using the RRS leveling base with arca rail on my rifle

I agree and will mention the Vanguard carbon fiber if it’s still made. It’s got a little more flex than the Two Vets. But it’s a shade bit lighter. I would also add the Primos Trigger monopod. I use the Stoney Point as my go too night hunting rest. Much quieter very useful as a walking stick and plenty steady enough for 200 yard shots. If you practice with a good monopod walking stick you will get to where you feel naked without it.

Thanks for the the info. The vortex also looks nice, just wish their was a little more data on it. The no name is looking like a pretty good contender although I secretly keep eyeing the RRS TV -22I. I want something sturdy, light and compact and price plays somewhat into that. But anything’s going to be a compromise in one of those departments, just not sure where I want to skimp

Researched way too much and ended up ordering the RRS TFC-33. WAY more than I wanted to pay, but it’s supposed to be rock solid and fold up very compact. And it’s USA made so I can’t complain too much

Lol no.  When I said I would NOT buy it again, I meant I would NOT buy it again.

The adjustment portion from one of the legs is defective.  It keeps FUBARing itself, even after all the internal clips are carefully reconfigured per the Feisol manual.  That's my big beef.

Small beefs: The loosened legs don't drop freely like on my other tripods.  There are no labels on the legs indicating which way is tight.

That sucks to hear. It was a top contender but then a local guy showed me how the legs can fold in past each other rather than meeting in the center  of it’s not closed right, and I knew that would drive me crazy

I don’t think I’d really benefit from one. I strictly hunt coyotes and they’re skittish from all the pressure. I don’t really stalk them, just try to call in

I thought the same thing but the walking stick monopod allows you to access an area quieter and if you tuck yourself into and under a cedar tree. The monopod is so much easier to setup plus it takes the weight off resting the rifle or shotgun. When you’re accessing an area you can move stuff with the monopod. Not to mention the keeping balance from using it as a walking stick. I never realized how accurate you could be to 300 yards with a monopod until someone else explained to me the benefits. I even use mine in the tree stand with my crossbow now. It’s improved my shooting that much.

That’s how I feel about them lol. I had a slik 700 before the RRS and luckily I’m short enough to run it with the column all the way down. My buddy used his pretty high and you can really feel the flex
