Well...I decided I wanted to take me handloading up a notch but wanted to stay in the AR platform.

This is where I am at:

Wilson Combat Urban Super Sniper 18" threaded (on sale 187.50)

Wilson gas block and tube (25% off sale)

Aero Precision Enhanced Gen 2 15" handguard (on sale $160 with Bar nut)

Wilson blem chromed bcg ($99)

YHM Phantom (Free)

BCM Blem Upper ($70)

Wilson Blem lower ($68)

Aero lower Parts ($35)

Expo arms buffer tube ($28)

Geissele SSA-E ($130)

Parts bin Buffer and Spring

Parts bin magpul grip and CTR

Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44

I missed the woa spr sale so that's how I ended up with the Wilson combat.

I don't know what to expect out of it.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Sounds like a solid build.

Of course you’re going to want to find what bullet / charge  combos it likes.

Also a good level is a must in LRS. I’ve used the US optics fixed version that sticks out to the side.( works well with scopes that are mounted low)

Im trying out this cheapie I got off Amzn, so far works great.

How does it shoot?  Update, please.

Your bullet, powder and case prep decision will tell the tale.  Maybe one place to splurge (match bullets can be pricey).

Waiting for weather to break her in Michigan. These dang snow storms have been hitting on the weekends.

I'm itching to try it out.

I have some rmr 69gr loaded up in a test ladder.

Probably send some 55gr have loads down it first.

This.  It sounds good.  If you're not reloading for the gun, don't be afraid to try a whole bunch of different ammo to find what your gun likes.

I finally got to the range today. Holly wah. Had 3 new builds to break in.

This one did cost me 40 minutes of downtime.

The blem chrome wilson bcg failed to eject. Case would be stuck in the bolt. Took forever to get the extractor off. O ring looked huge. Removed it and left the spring with insert... all is well. Running an h2 buffer.

Break in was lake city 55gr. 1.5 to 2" 10 shot group with our without YHM turbo t3. With the lc 55gr.

No real handloads tested as the wind picked up steady at 20 gusting to 30 or more. Enough to take a guys rifle case down range.

I have high hopes for this now.

in listening to eric cortina(personally shot against him in years past) First place to spend $ is the barrel.  if the barrel is not accurate, nothing else will make the gun accurate.
After that, some things matter more than others. IMHO, All the upper does is present the bolt to the barrel.  Lap the barrel to the upper and that's about it.  You can spend crazy $ on triggers, but can YOU tell the difference?  there are lots of great and reasonable triggers and money not spent here can go to better quality glass.  So much is like fishing lures.  the intend is more to catch fishermen than fish
