Alrighty,
So once upon a time when I had a really nice GAP bolt gun, I had a Harris bipod on it and life was good.  This was long before Atlas etc.  Anyway, I finally have another bolt gun (howa mini in .223), and I'm looking for another bipod.  I still currently have the Harris on my 18" AR.

Now I don't want to spend crazy money as this is for a fun, somewhat lightweight .223.  A few years ago when others (non Parker Hale, Harris, and Atlas) started making bipods they were all pretty much relegated to "pot metal crap".  Has any of that changed?  For the $100 and less category are Harris and Magpul pretty much the only go-to's?

No.  UTG/Leapers makes a few in that range.  They are solid and function fine.

I have  a couple of the TL-BPM01 model.

They now have some models that are Made In USA, which are more expensive.

For me UTG has a reputation of making solid accessories, heavier, with less features than pricier competitors.

THis one is on the heavy duty size, sounds like its built like a tank - that might be a good thing for a bipod for stability.
