Making the switch from 308 re barreling my Savage and thought I would try some of this. Anyone have any luck with it? Any other suggestions?

Berger Ammo

What is your intended application?  What are your expectations?

Hornady American Gunner will get you at least 1" groups at 100 and most likely smaller.  Can't beat it for the price, but it's not 1/2 MOA at 1,000 yards.

I’ve had great luck with Hornady American Gunner. This is a 300yd 5 shot group out of my Larue UU kit gun.

Thanks
Perhaps I’ll order some Hornady American Gunner and some Berger to try as well

I've had good success with 140gr Hornady Black. This is 10 shots at 103 yards from my Criterion barreled Aero build.

Hornady 140 American Gunner is my go to for our range. It will shot sub MOA for me out to 400 & MOA out to 600. I have 4-500 rounds of it.

I had really good luck with the 140eld Hornady aout to 1000 yards. I never went to the Bergers due to the cost of the hornady bullets and shooting well. Im moving away from the 6.5 creedmoore for match shooting so down to 6mm and berger is the go to.

Good advice.

The 140 eld shot .5 moa averages from my bolt gun when I tested them.

I haven't shot the 147s yet, but I'm going to.
