Right now I'm shooting the 178gr HPBTs in Winchester brass over a federal 210m and 44.2gr Varget. Getting 2710-2715ft/s (24" 1/11.25" 5r barrel) and good accuracy with that load.

I recently picked up a box of the 178gr ELD-X bullets and want to try them out. Does anyone have load data for the eldx over Varget? A lot of guys on the Hide are loading around 42 of Varget with the eldx and I'm concerned that just swapping bullets in my regular load might somehow push pressures too high with the eldx.

I use 43.9 of varget with the 178 ELD-X for my 24 inch barrel 308. Getting 2705 fps. But, work up to make sure your rifle can go that high.

I load Hornady brass and the 178s with 43.5 of Varget and am currently getting 2625 from my 18" Ruger American Predator. Keep in mind I live and shoot around 6000 ft asl.

42.8 grains gives me 2590 from a 20” suppressed barrel with the 178 ELD X and is very accurate.
Also seems to be pretty close to Hornadys Precision Hunter load for that bullet which I’ve also found to be very accurate in the same rifle.

I use 43.9 of varget and getting 2705 fps according to my labradar. Very accurate load. No pressure signs. I only shoot 178 ELD-X out of my rifle. Barrel is 24 inches on a savage 10 FCP-SR, same load I used on my 10T.
