The two choices I have settled on are Black Hills TMK 175gr at $2 a round and Sierra TMK 175gr for $2.30 a round.

EDIT: Barrel is a 18" Proof with 1:10 twist, which is why I am set on 175gr.

can you get a box of each and test them?  I love the 175s

It’d come down to brass used as I reload.  If Federal I would buy the other.  Black Hills used to use Winchester headstamp or their own Black Hills headstamp made by Winchester iirc.

I always like the Black Hills factory new stuff but avoided the reload Black Hills 5.56.

My .308 shot it as well as Federal GMM.

I will be saving the brass for reloads. I am reading a lot of people do not like the Federal Gold Medal Match brass for reloading.

FPNI

It's better and cheaper, easy decision.

Black hills

I got 500 once fired fgmm308 cases two years ago.  I've loaded one batch 8 times, and annealed them once and my groups started to open up after 3 firings without annealing them again.  As long as I use the fgmm primers the pockets are OK. The brass is softer than my lapua for sure.

FWIW... Fed. sells a LEO version of the 175gr TMK  ( called Tactical Tipped Matchking ) ... about a $1.65 / rd plus shipping.

It might be worth a try to see if your firearm "likes" it.

It's weird how there isn't much online about this particular round.

I like the Sierra TMK 175
I have a 1-11.25 twist in a custom target rifle. It likes  175 SMK but hates 168-169 SMK. I hand load and like Lapua brass with RL-15 and 175 SMK.
You just have to shoot and see what you're rifle likes.
