I sold my FTM100 on QTH, and the buyer is asking where I originally bought it.

I can't remember, I think it was HRO.

Why would he need this ?

I never used wires-x and never registered anything

only C4FM fusion, and FM

?????

He stated --
"... where you purchased it as I have to tell them in order to set it up for wiresX .... I am told."

That doesn't make sense. Only an HRI-200 is registered.

It is a question on the form you need to submit to register it as a wires X node.

Seriously, just tell him whatever you think it was. It's a marketing question.
