Hey there, long story short was browsing the ol piccolos hash blog (man do I miss the seeing eye cat) and came across a comment 7 years ago, posted by me asking about getting general class license which made me remember oh hey, I still have to do that (im a terrible procrastinator) while I work on that I'm wondering what the general hey I'm new loadout is that is somewhat budget conscious. something that will hold up for awhile while I go balls deep in the field but also wont be crap class.

What are your goals/interest?  Amateur radio has a ton of different facets.

And there is no rig (or antenna) that does it all.
