Even a year plus into covid the local store can't keep basic household cleaning supplies in stock.

So, this gas panic no one is talking about... this is more about the general public’s reaction than about storing gas. Although, a non renewable, absolutely vital consumable is a big stumbling block.

Saw the pipeline issues over the weekend. Sunday night company says they’ll get it running soon. Monday no problems. Tuesday morning no problems, got gas and was the only one at the pump. Middle of the day FB starts firing up about it, the trunk gas pic makes the rounds. By 1600 some local stations are out, all others have significant lines. Many have price jumps, up to .50 that I saw.

It is interesting that it seems like it wasn’t an issue to the masses until it got traction on FB.

Havasu. Smiths have been out of most bacon products (bacon, jimmy dean bacon breakfast sandwiches, etc) for months it seems.

Spray paint.

Lady at Home Depot says it's because of the freeze in Texas a month or so ago.  Says the paint plants had equipment frozen and damaged as well as product that was ruined.

Shortage of pussy at the titty bar.  They have a midget stripper.

LGS starting to get ammo in stock again, or maybe the supply/demand curve has changed.  My most favorite LGS was a bit sparse on the gun selection, but if you needed a gun, they had them.

Diet Sprite has been hard to find in past months, but is more plentiful now for some reason.  We mix a lot of drinks with Sprite.

Shelves seem fully stocked at local grocers.  I have watched this pretty closely in the past 14 months.  Things are mostly normal right now.

What’s with the juvenile responses to the OPs thread? Guess the mods are asleep.

No real shortages from my perspective in my area but prices are up. We did a run to Sams last week and got lots of meat and more paper towels and toilet paper.

I keep hearing of impending shortages of pool shock and that might be coming but for now, there is plenty on the shelves. We are going to open our pool within a week and we picked up a 6 pack of pool shock. Checked my local Walmart and they had individual pouches so I got a few more. Sams had a 24 pack box of shock for around $60 or so but since we use less than 10 pouches per year, we just opted to get a smaller amount. Pool season hasn’t really started yet though so I could see a big shortage in a week or two.

Car dealers have very few new cars in inventory. Used cars are also hard to find. Luckily, we aren’t shopping for cars at the moment. I hope to get a TJ Wrangler in a year or so but I’m going to wait till the absurd demand for toys subsides and pick one up cheap from someone who spent too much on toys.

Ammo is also in short supply but that’s expected given the times we are living in.

Meat, pasta and cleaning supplies are all hit or miss. Really depends on what day you go to the store.
