Caught 20-30 yesterday (looked like we had the lake to ourselves) - lots on swimbaits, finesse jigs, whacky rigs, think a couple on shallow jerkbaits. Nothing all that big, but caught a lot of fish. Water is gin clear, fishing shallow. Would probably have thrown a fluke as well, but it’s pretty light and the wind was blowing pretty good.
Pretty typical late/post spawn fishing around here. |

We caught so many bass saturday night after dark while trolling for walleye it honestly got annoying. I expect to catch some bass after dark on nights with a lot of moonlight but it was pitch black out saturday night.

Good 2lb bass last night off my ice fishing pole, cheapo 1 bearing reel, 6 lb test, a small hook, and half a nightcrawler out of the local pond.
I keep the little pole behind the seat of my truck and it makes for some fun fishing fights. |

Bomber Apple Red Crankbait.
I have a question for you guys. How the hell do you fish for bass on lakes with sandy shores and no structure when the water level is down. The lake I went to this week was down at least 25 feet, and the shoreline is all sandy. I fish two lakes like this and towards the end of the year I don't know how to fish them. |

You know what lure I never caught one single fish with? Dance's Eel. Never got a strike. |

View Quote SC is a long way from where you are, but i can tell you when our "featureless" lakes drop im instantly looking for underwater humps, secondary points, or main lake points. If theres no cover the fish will still set up on something. And to not go off topic: Custom spinnerbait from act lures. |
