Speaker/Mic for BaoFeng UV-9R - Page 1

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Speaker/Mic for BaoFeng UV-9R

I picked up a few of these for cheap and like radio in general. Im looking for speaker mics that work with the connection on the UV-9R. (its not the standard Kenwood port) I found a few on Amazon but the reviews are garbage. Anyone know of a better unit than the ones on Amazon?

looked around and they all seem to be the same. $9-$13/ea.

Buy from Amazon for best return policy...YMMV

The B Tech hand mic is the best one I've found.

It's larger and heavier than the little crappy one, but much better build quality/ audio.

Unfortunately that's the wrong connector. UV-9R has the special waterproof connection.

I did see a connector that would allow you to convert, saw on ebay

Yeah, I won't be buying that. That's the one I was referring to when I said the reviews were bad. Nearly every review is negative.

I've had this mic since 2014. It works like a champ-the only other I prefer is the Factory Kenwood Mics I have on hand

Pryme Trooper II

add one of the mic converters and you'd be GTG. This mic isn't a HD as my KW or the Vertex we have at the FD but for Amateur use, it's nice enough.
