Well Lookie lookie lookie, what do we have here:

Specs:  EA's Extreme Duty Land Leveler, 7' with scarifiers.  Cat I/Cat II capable and QH-compatible.  Came in the Madison Fedex Freight center yesterday afternoon; exactly one month after I ordered it.

Now I just need for the rain to stop so I can fix my road!

Now that is talent to only break one tine. I would have probably bent all four. On one rotor or one each on all four rotors.

The rig getting replaced. I don't think I will know how to act with the auto load and wrap feature? But there's one New piece of equipment. The New used tractor we were just setting it up and the ECU went out on it. The dealer is going to make it right but there's not an ECU in the USA. So now it's wait a couple of weeks. But I think the tractor is sound enough and a good enough deal to wait on the parts. Less than 850 HRS and a 2012 model.  Now I just need to lay down some bale-adge for it.

Got started on hay this weekend.  About 100 square bales and 90 round bales and one farm done.

MT with the wagon:
Attachment Attached File

5055 on the square baler, 5300 on the mower, 2020 on the rake in the background and another 5055 on the round baler out of frame.

With just a little help from the weatherman, we'll get most everything put up this week.

I think I've got two fields that will require a week of dry weather to get. But I should knock out the last 40 acres of upland this week barring major break downs. I have two tractors in the shop and had two last week in the shop!

We could have gotten this all done with two machines, but extra machines means less time transitioning from one implement to another.  Good luck getting all your's back up and running, and getting some sunshine.

Yesterday, I dug a hole with the FEL to bury my GSD. It wasn't the best tool for the job, but it was the best tool that I have for the job. That was annoying with the FEL; it would have been horrible to do it by hand.

Thanks, guys. I didn't mean to have a pity party. Today's a lot better.

Back on topic, I bought the Pat's QD and hope to get them installed today. Since I've only had the tractor a short while, I have a lot of cleanup and rearrangement to do. A 3-pt trailer hitch is due for delivery tomorrow.

1. I was using a tumble-bug to move round hay bales and pulled it with my truck. The remaining 12 bales are side-to-side and rather askew, sort of in 3 lines. I need to get them inline and squared up, end-to-end.
2. Horse-trailer, flatbed trailers (new one plus old one), and tumble-bug, are just where they landed when I was done with them. Need to get them lined up.
3. My humble assortment of implements are generally in decent spots, but they'll have to move so that I can do 1 and 2 above. At some point, I'll build carts for those that I can fit in the barn.
4. I need to mow where all the above stuff is. The current storage area is in the back of my 2-ish acre lawn near the cross fence to the pasture. The line of hay will nicely block the view of the rest of my tools from the street.
5. Field needs shredded to knock down the yellow star thistle. I didn't have any of that stuff last year. Maybe the goats that I sold in September were actually doing something useful.

The current mess.

I have plenty of stuff to do. Just cannot lift too much for a few more weeks.

Today I'm chasing and fixing leaks with my 3 spool Remote Rear valve.

It's leaking from the base of the spools shown in the pic below.  This is the end of the valve where the handles are. You can see some of the UV dye in the center of the pic inside that hex head screw in the center of the pic.  I've already taken that screw out and put some hydraulic sealant on it and tightened it down.  Hopefully, that won't be leaking anymore.

Anyone know how hard it is to remove those cylindrical spools and replace the o-rings?  I already have the o-rings.

On NPT fittings only, I use Rector-Seal pipe thread sealant with PTFE.

Nice looking set up.
Could you or others make a thread with vids explaining the computer control / monitor / navigation end of the big farms?
When you said engage auto steer it caught my attention that it's all computer / gps controlled.
I find the tech interesting but know little about it.

Yesterday's projects:  Unloading a pair of anvil wood stump bases I had my cousin's husband mill up for me.

Getting them off my truck; Shagbark Hickory on the left, Red Oak on the right.  That Shagbark came off the tree that you might remember fell in my backyard the first Monday of May.  I don't know what they weigh, but I can barely move them by hand.  I use my hand truck and it's still a major PITA.  They should make excellent anvil bases!

A pic of the tops; Red Oak on the left this time; Shagbark on the right.

I then spent a couple hours working my one mile gravel road with my new Everything Attachments land leveler.

Notice the two Red Oak tree logs on the left?   Yea, that's the same tree I got that Red Oak stump from.

L3301 got dropped off yesterday. Took a little over a month for it to be built and delivered.
First project with it this morning.
Ripped a old, large lilac bush out this morning.

Had some 70mph+ winds come through last weekend that knocked some big branches off of the Box Elder trees in the back yard, along with making a mess in general.  After work one day I got everything cut up and piled out in the driveway so I could at least mow the yard.  There is still a mess up in one of the trees but I'll wait to cut that stuff down until I'm not here by myself

Yesterday I put the forks on the tractor and moved the pile of branches over to my burn pile.  It worked far better than I was expecting, I was able to just stab the forks in and pick up a big chunk of the pile and take it over.  A grapple would have worked better but the forks still did a good job.

Then while I had the forks on I also dug out a couple of old dead bushes and an apple tree that the deer destroyed.  Once again the forks worked great, I just stuck them in under the bushes and tilted back and it popped right out.
