I'm finally getting another dog and want to have a trainer lined up for a "bird dog boot camp" type program when the pup is old enough, probably this Spring.  She is a Llewellyn (English) Setter with strong hunting bloodlines, and I want her to be a woodcock slayer!

Southeastern US preferred, but I'm willing to travel and recognize this is a substantial investment.  E-mail me any suggestions.  Thanks!

Half the fun of owning a bird dog is training them yourself. Lots of good info out there books, videos etc.It really doesn’t take that much of your time, 15 minutes a day, consistently.Llewellen’s are great dogs.

Looks like I've got some good help lined up!  Our hunting lease in Alabama has lots of wild quail and woodcock and I look forward to having my own hunting companion.  I'll hopefully be able to post pics of her first wild bird this February!
