Tell me you got around to other side of pond and had them trapped??  We got lucky one time and caught a sounder out on a peninsula, was the greatest skirmish ever.  They had nowhere to go ....

Nope. Water ran from property line to property line.

Even if I did the cows were behind me.

You were charged by all of them probably. Every Texas Hunter is “charged” by every pig

Threw some corn out last weekend, went to lease yesterday evening. We were sitting in the back of a truck in turkey chairs with a board over the truck bed sides. Made for a nice little shooting bench. One scout boar showed up around 9pm and we shot him. Sumbitch took a bullet to the neck and one in the shoulder and still ran about 60 yards. The big bastard you see above came out about 45 min later. Was using Trijicon MKIII on top of AR308 and dropped him right where he stood at 100 +- with a shot just below the ear.

Figured as much.  Make sure all the local doggers know you killed it, and did with that “ night thermal stuff”.....

Nope! And at ranges most people cringe at. The grass is tall enough again that you have to get high and get an angle. Thermal doesn't work worth a damn in Johnson grass! I really need to cut hay again. I wish the state would help me build some pig towers...

Nah a majority of mine are killed during the daytime. All hours... Daybreak, late morning, lunchtime, early afternoon, dusk. Anytime you never know when they'll be out!

We have coyotes in Wisconsin. Hit one in our brand new Outback .
$3000 + damage .
I would love to eradicate all Wisconsin pest animals.

If we had hogs, I would kill and grill them...
Sadly that isn't gonna happen around here

I know right!  When I go to my lease I get antsy when hanging out at the cabin because I know there's a good chance a pig or 10 is out there somewhere just waiting to be found...or hanging out at the feeder

24lbs if sausage off the carcass after grabbing chops and tenderloin. We probably got close to 80lbs of meat off him total. Biggest hog we’ve butchered in a while, smelled/looked okay inside so holding out hope he tastes okay

Good job by the young'uns.

Someone said to throw a chunk of fat in a skillet and that will give a good idea of how the meat will taste/smell.
