I thought I'd already posted these but this was from last winter, it was cold.  Came around the corner and it had just rained and we were scanning with a FLIR thermal and spotted a big group.  My Brother was driving with a PVS-14 and no lights on.  Rolled 13 of them up in a wad.  It was so muddy they couldn't get away.

Just a few that were on my phone.  All taken with either the 6.8 suppressed (REAP-IR or PVS-14 w/DBAL) or Glock 10mm w/PVS-14 and SureFire x400VIR

This was my first hog ever. He walked out in front of me about 60yds away and I put a 64gr Speer Gold Dot right into his lungs and liver. He was mid step when I shot him and he dropped right there. Unfortunately I couldn't locate the bullet inside him because it was dark by time I started cleaning him but all in all I'm very impressed with the 64gr Gold Dots. I've taken a buck and a pig now, both took a hit to the lungs, and both had massive damage inside.

Threaded the needle this weekend.  We ate the backstraps last night during the Sleeper Bowl.  Suffice it to say there weren't any leftovers :D

This is RealWildOne, Jr. and his cousin (my nephew) earlier tonight, team effort as both were firing from the back of a moving vehicle at this running boar tonite. Somebody smoked him. It was cold here.

Other than driving through SC occasionally, I’ve got no time in your state.  Never noticed much farm country.  You mostly hunt in the timber out there?

Yes it is all timber and swamp bottom of the Little Salkehatchie River.
I probably wouldn't know what to do if I had an opportunity to hunt open fields.
Plenty of hogs here but it is tough hunting.
We have some biggins here.

If anybody here is near stewart ok give me a shout. Friend of mine has a decent chunk of ground with pigs. Too far for me to get up there with any regularity.  I could put you in touch with them. Might work out to your Benefit

Hi Tmm1270, I think I recall you mentioning this once before when you were going there, it sounds like a generous offer. I had to look it up and I’m a couple of hours away I think. I’m fortunate to just get out for a couple of hours here nearby on the weekends, wish I could take you up on your offer

No worries friend.  Owners too old , and neighbors are too stupid/lazy to do anything about it . Just trying to find them some local folks to help

Not local to me but I don't mind a drive to hunt.

Not sure how much more I'll get out over the next few months. The heat gets old. Does he day or night hunt? Or both?

Owners don’t hunt.  They shoot a pig if they see one driving around , but don’t chase them .  They have family come out occasionally, but nobody ever really gets after them

From Okrahoma, joined mainly for the pig hunting discussion.

I generally patrol hunt over a several mile area around here and deer lease north of Victoria, Tx.

Normally none of the mass pig slaying that some guys get, but steady sniping and pressure.

(will have to learn the process for making pictures render and not just post a link, or I'm in the new guy, picture jail.)
