The old timers here will remember me and my son. SBK. The kid has completed his 3 years of active duty Army and is returning to his home state.

We divorced. I am living in the SW corner of St John's county now, enjoying retirement..

Very cool Ops, and thanks for serving SBK! I will be home next week from Afghanistan, and my son is home from school, the plan is for him to graduate in two and half years, get his commission in Infantry and go Active Duty. I did my, almost, 30 years and took a short-term contracting gig. So much for my retirement

, however, I can honestly say this has been a fun post-retirement job, but I'm done being away from home.

Spend some quality time with the boy, I plan to do the same with mine over the holidays.

You know guys we ought to get together and do one more for the gipper.

If my plans hold, I'll be retired next spring and what a shock, 80lbs lighter than the last time you guys saw me, way more active.

I also have a great collection now of some damn fine barrel proofs.

If a gathering is halfway local I will attempt to attend. I have the same old story, work is silly and schedule is unknown and at worst it will be like last campout where I nap at the campground while folks run around on the trails.

Think tj brought me some super coffee so I was awake in the evenings for the campfire discussions.
