I’m much more in the AR and hog hunting game but pretty excited for bird season with my new shotgun.

It’s not a holy grail like some of you may have but it should do the job.

Benelli Supernova 26” apg camo

Yes nice shotgun I own a Nova but the only thing I don't like is the safety location.  I have safety on and finger on button ready to place in fire position and after a period of time hand cramps up due to the position and not having long fingers.  No issues with my SBE 2 as the safety is behind the trigger.

A review complained of the same thing.  I reach the safety fine...

I can reach it also, it just becomes a problem when finger is extended on the safety for a long period of time waiting to place in fire position when birds appear.

26"

After hunting waterfowl with it I would have been better served with 28". I hadn't hunted ducks since before the ban on lead. More velocity would be nice.

I was primarily going to use it for turkeys, but the extra length would not really have been much of a handicap. I'd rather have the extra 2 inches of oomph for waterfowl.

I bought a new but old bird gun. I still like my SBE 2 and Nova but always had my eye on the older Remington 11-87 Premier. I found one on Gunbroker and it’s on the way.

My very first shotgun was an 11-87 Special Purpose.

Haven't shot it in probably 15 years but it's in the back of the safe.
