I ended up buying this today from a 75 year old man about 15 miles up the road from me.  Tell me what you guys think!  Guess what I paid for it?

I love that 40 year exposure Daguerreotype shadow of the ground wire burned into the paint.

The guy said 1300-1500 watts according to line voltage.  It’s wired for 240 volts.  I wouldn’t even attempt to run it at 120 volts.  My old Drake L4B makes 1100 watts according to what band I’m operating on.  This Henry should easily do that.

I always ran mine at about 800 watts. Above that you see diminishing returns. Anymore I rarely push 500 watts.

That is a beast of an amplifier and nothing MFJ manufactures comes anywhere near that level of quality.

Good find!

Does it run 2 X 3-500z tubes? Both of the ones pictured above still had the original 3-400zs in them and still had full output when I sold them in 2013.
They were manufactured in 1963-64.

Very nice!

I was looking for a Henry for my first  amplifier.

Found this local.
Traded the guy a rifle I had $1,000 in it.Attachment Attached File

1970 round emblem Collins 30S1.
All original.
Use it at 800 watts.
