I have a Ford 3000. I mainly bushhog with it and will be doing more once things get settled. At some point in life the seat was replaced by what looks like a seat from Tractor supply. It is not comfortable and feels like it is ready to dump you out at times. I would love a better option. reasonable budget please.

Depending on your size, you probably want to go with something like:

There are of course several places to buy from, that was just a handy google.

But a universal full suspension seat. With a decent cushion.

If you're on the larger side, there is a "plus" size, but it's a bit more expensive.

There are a few nicer seats, but it all depends on your budget.

Tractor Supply has some good seats and the have some crap budget seats

If your willing to shell out some bucks you will get a decent seat.
I have bought and installed 3 from there over the last few years and they are all still in good shape.
Steiner has good stuff as well but I find it easier to go to a store and check the measurements.
I had to weld in two of them because they are rarely right on measurement wise but I always buy the best they have.

Thanks guys . I am 230 pounds or so . Not sure where that puts me as far as being a big guy on a tractor.

Normal seats are fine. They typically go up to 265lbs or 285lbs depending on the brand, for the suspension to actually work.

I dint think that my garden will ever be big enough to warrant a tractor.

Today, I learned a fact, though. Aftermarket tractor seats are a thing. Thank you arfcom.

I'm using the County Line Deluxe Cordura Hi Back from Tractor Supply. I think the price has gone up a bit since I bought mine last year.

Same size.
Could feel the bolts thru the seat on my MF yesterday, not much left of it.

Old steel pan seat on my 640 is more comfortable.

One of my sons is pushing 300, not sure the 640 seat would survive him, but he's never mentioned anything about the MF seat.

Surplus Center used to have lots, cheap,but have REALLY gone up!
