This is assuming you don't live in the state you're looking in.
1. Pick a state.
2. Look for hunting forums, hunting magazines, etc.
3. Research said forums, magazines, etc

You just have to spend time looking.

If you live in the state you're looking in, add talking to as many people as you can. People in church, hardware stores, feed&seed stores, etc.

I have finally done it!

I have not had any hog signs for weeks now. My deer corn lasts more than 1 night.

I'm sure more will be back soon but hopefully not till end of deer season.

I slowly took out a full sounder before deer season  and then had another group start coming in.  I shot 3 of the new group and they have not returned.

If you want your problem to go away, you need to trap (at least). Just shooting them just won’t keep up.

Even worse... killing the hogs is considered by any timber expert to be maintaining the property.

The problem is only going to get worse as the land owners are clearly not doing their part in removing the feral hogs there.

EDIT:  Also consider setting up a few Duke DP Coon Traps.  Raccoons will find that feeder and consume a lot of the corn.

Lease I hunt. The land owners want the lease members to shoot hogs until no hogs over 100lbs are alive anywhere on the 6000 acres.
Don’t care what is done with them. Just kill them.

I encourage you to locate land closer to your home and remove hogs that way.  Locate the property owners of large 80+ acre tracts of land near your home and offer to remove their hogs.  The local tax assessor can provide this information and you will find many property owners are out of state but a phone call or letter away.

The point of a lease is to pay for the right to hunt deer, paying to be an exterminator of feral species is wasting your money and time.

Now if the lease land owners provide you with bullets, hog panels and similar traps to remove the nuisance animals then you have a fair deal.

For example, I currently have the rights to hunt feral hogs and coyotes on over 1,000 acres worth of properties within 25 miles of my home.  I don't pay anyone and am even allowed to take a few deer if I so choose because my efforts have increased the deer populations.  I was able to earn this privilege simply by knocking on a few doors and making friends of property owners that were clearly not capable of managing their land.

It is kind of a double-edged sword for me.

I do not like having the hogs around during deer or turkey season. When it is not deer or turkey season I very much enjoy going out and shooting hogs at night.

Day 2; 2nd hog down;  They insist on using bolt action...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cZUTOFpYj0&t

Floodlight that comes on in video is a 12VDC 50Watt RED LED which does not seem to bother hogs.  Controlled via WIFI and iPHone app.  Draws a lot of power so do not leave it running very long.  Recharging a marine battery is difficult in thick Louisiana forestland with solar panels.

Went to sneak up on one of my corn piles that has had recent signs of hogs. I've never had signs of hogs in this area before and never check it when hog hunting.
Thought what the hell let's check.

My brother and I use shooting sticks but this corn pile is only 35 yards from the corner we'll be coming around while stalking up on them. So I decided to leave the sticks just before we got to the corner and use I2 and laser to make the shot.
Well as soon as we reached the corner I heard some grunting and 2 large hogs were 15 yards ahead of us. They must have caught wind of us and went into the pines just ahead of us.

This is where thermal makes all of the difference. We couldn't see them in the pines 15 yards ahead of us with I2. Had to switch to the thermal and bang 2 hogs down. I think my brother was counting hairs with his 60mm Trijicon at that range.

Happiness is a warm gun and some dead hogs

I need remote activated claymores.

They are tearing up my roads, eating all my deer corn and running the deer out. It is now my mission to kill every hog I can.

The good news is in the last week I've killed 3 of the 4 sows that have been running together in one area.  The teets on that last one will be getting a workout trying to feed those 15 or so little piglets.

I got her on camera spinning circles to keep them off her teets.

I've orphaned all of the piglets and feel really bad about it.

Good luck to the coyotes. Jager Pro fallowed two orphan piglets for a month and the thrived. Bears seem to be the only real piglet enemy here. Coyotes get a few but bears are starting to figure out that pork is tasty.

There bears in OK ? Didn’t know that.  Only thing we have in my area is black panthers, and mountain lions. I’ve never seen any personally, but the old timers at the feed store have assured me that they’re out there. .... I firmly believe there a direct correlation between black panther sightings and feed store coffee

I hunt near the Ruffin area, right on the Little Salkehatchie river.

I can probably get you out there some time if you really want to go.

Been really hard to pattern the hogs lately due to all of the acorns on the ground.  Getting a lot more daytime kills lately than nighttime.
