Can anyone confirm the screw size of the holes in the side of the IC-7300 for mounting the MB-118 Mobile Mounting Bracket?  The instructions I got with the bracket don't address the 7300.  The IC-7300 full manual also doesn't address the screw size.  The M4 X 8 screws supplied for the IC-7200 seem a bit too large and the thread doesn't feel right.

Anyone know the correct metric screw size?  I could probably force the M4 X 8 screws, but I hate to break things.

TIA.

Man, this gets confusing.  Did you measure that size or see it in a manual somewhere?  I can't find anything written on it anywhere.

I just put in some M4-0.7 pitch X 6mm length that were used in my IC-7200 and they went in just fine.

I wonder if M3.5-0.6  and M4-0.7 threads are so close they interchange on a short screw with no effort.

I measured a screw I had that fit.

Roger.  Thanks.  Building a shack-in-a box for our club for the local EOC.  I wouldn't want to screw up the very first mounting scheme!

The Japanese use 2 different thread pitches, so you want the correct one. Not sure which the 7300 uses.
