The title says it all. I need a new creel. I'm looking for quality wicker, leather, sturdy metal rivets and buckles, and if at all possible US made. I don't want to take out a loan to be able to pay for it, but I also don't want junk that will fall apart when it gets wet. Who makes one that isn't junk and/or China made or gaudily branded (Cabela's, I'm looking at you). Thanks. US made and quality? Wicker? Probably an antique store, seriously. And get your wallet out, they are now objects of art. |

Bummer.
Can you recommend a good brand of creel? Something that will last? The one I just crushed was my grandfather's and he bought it after the war. |

I haven't seen any trout fisherman carry one in the last 40 years. They are quite cumbersome, most just throw them in a cooler. Unless you want nostalgia, there are better options. |
