I made my wife a custom Word document showing step-by-step with pictures how to turn off the gas, water, and electrical power/solar array.

I put a brief checklist for my wife inside the saferoom for her to go through in case of a break-in or home invasion while I am not home. I'll post it when I get home if I can remember.

Yeah, big thing is document with pictures showing how to turn off water, gas, electric, water heater...etc.
Also schematic of house with circuit map, water lines..etc In my other house I had instructions on how to turn off breaker, use house/generator disconnect, how to shed loads and how to start/run generator. Water breaks, power outages always seem to happen when I'm way from home on a work trip. This lets the wife know exactly what to do. |
