Does anyone know of a place that sells used ones or have one for sale?  These folks are running several months behind for a new one.

Check Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. I scored one back in December that was brand new, the owner died before he got around to using it. His kids thought his prepping stuff was dumb I guess, or preferred the cash.

There are two facebook groups where people sell them , bothbare HR groups.
Prices are almost always almost close to brand new.

Ordering from manufacturer or dealer is the way to go.
Unless you can pick one up locally the shipping charges are gonna kill you.

When you buy one new the FexEx freight is built in the price.... there is no additional cost.

sorry for the tangent not sure where else to post this.
What kind of oxygen absorbers do you use?
I was looking at some slow acting oxygen absorbers that claim that they are better for freeze dried food.

Pretty sure they are local here in Utah.

Maybe try calling an IFA store here and ask if they have any in stock.

Get the oil-less pump.

Changing the oil isn't THAT big of a ball-ache, but it is messy by the time you get done filtering. The big issue is that only I change the oil in my household (it's borrowed, want to make sure it's taken care of) so if I'm at work, it has to wait until I get home-and that means cold oil that doesn't drain out very fast and won't really filter.

The object is to get something you will actually Use. Dealing with the oil wears on you, or at least it did me.

But holy hell can you pack some food away with this thing if you stay on it....
