Too many nice deals. I almost bought a 7610 once but common sense prevailed.
 LOL. I also want to test drive the new Yaesu digital rig. It looks very tempting too.

I have the FT-70, purchased because repeater book said there was a fusion / wires capable repeater in my area. Come to find out, it's offline and has been for a long time.
In my completely inexperienced opinion, it's a fine radio. I use it with a MMVDMM hotspot since I don't have a local wires-x repeater. |

Darn. The MFJ-2100 Octopus antenna base is OOS at mtcradio. I was planning to order one of those and 80m, 60m, 40m, and 20m MFJ hamsticks to screw into it. Basically it takes two hamsticks and makes a diploe out of it. You can make it a 4-band antenna. May have to get the hamsticks and see if I can find someplace else that has the octopus. MFJ sells it directly but it's usually more expensie thru them.
