Buy a used Coleman Peak 1 fiberglass framed backpack off eBay or CL. Throw away the pack bag. Upgrade the hip belt and straps. Lash it to the outside of your loaded Eberlestock along with your cloth game bags packed in a waterproof compression stuffsack. Done.

Stone Glacier or Exo. Kifaru is good as well. The only other comparable made in the USA bags are Seek Outside. Kuiu's new pack system is decent as well. In all seriousness the first three I mentioned are the best available and made in the USA. Have two Stone Glaciers myself

Called Kifaru ready to order, they could not provide a better estimate than 1-4 week shipping lead time so I ordered a Kuiu pack instead. Thanks!

Seek Outside is another, but for off the shelf availability, Eberlestock is a good option.

My kuiu has been good to me. 4 years on it, no complaints.

I called kifaru the next day to see if we could buy those parts separately and got Aron Snyder the ceo at the time, now the owner on the phone. Explained what we wanted and what we were doing. He was adamant that they would send them to me at no charge, hell of a guy. Between the service and how amazing the packs are they can’t be beat. |
