20 watts with built in antenna tuner.

It's a configuration that many have been asking for, remains to be seen if the performance and the details can meet people's needs.

If nothing else it might push one of the major brands toward a similar configuration field-oriented radio.

G90 is a portable 20W HF amateur radio transceiver with an SDR architecture with built-in automatic daylight adjustment. The display unit and the host can be separated. It is a new member of the Xiegu product family and the first model of the G series.

SDR structure, 24bit-CODEC sampling, it has excellent transceiving performance and a highly configurable function experience; detachable display unit design allows you to flexibly arrange the position of the host;

High performance front end narrowband ESC preselector;
Covers the frequency range of 0.5~30MHz, SSB/CW/AM three working modes;
1.8 inch high brightness color TFT LCD screen;
±24k bandwidth spectrum display, waterfall display;
Software defined narrowband filter (CW mode: 300Hz);
Separable head design;
Output 20W RF power in all sections;
Built-in high efficiency automatic antenna tuner;
Rich interface, can output I / Q signal, easy to connect to XDT1.

Welp you just saved me a few bucks on buying one of the 20w chinese radios without a tuner. Now all it needs is a good clip on battery case. And a good rugged splash proof outer case.  Also I wonder how well it does data modes.

Yup. And a decent waterproof case (rain proof) and audio connector.

Any idea what the rx drain is?

I'm GUESSING $350 or a bit more.
The Hambuilder radio is 50 watt output, covers 80, 40, 30, 20 Mhz, has no tuner built in.
