Besides the survival gear, I just added a CAA Micro Roni frame (Gen 3) with light, sling, and a RDS.
I EDC a Glock 19 and a spare mag.
I included the CAA Micro Roni because carrying a rifle in todays world might get you some unwanted attention.
And I wanted something besides a pistol that would give me just a little more stand off distance.
I also travel between my home in Cali and a second home in AZ. This solution keeps it simple.
The CAA Micro Roni fits nicely in my sling bag without issue.
Here is what I learned at the range.
Using a Glock 19 by itself I shoot great out to 30 yards. No issues.
At 50 to 75 yards I must slow down and carefully aim each shot.
With the CAA Micro Roni, not so much. With the RDS and 3 points of contact (right hand, shoulder, left hand) I can now shoot rapidly AND HIT at 75 yards.
I also get use of the higher cap mags (retired LEO) in both states so this helps.
Thought I would share.
