I was over at a friend's house and they showed me an old 220 Big Hat that the wife just got from her father's estate. Hadn't been used since she was a kid, maybe mid 70's. Had fuel in it. The pimp check valve was frozen but it still pumped up and lit with zero effort. I love Colemans

I have about 6 different Coleman suitcase stoves, mostly 425 variants. I also have a catalytic heater like in your photo. Love my Colemans.

I have the same stove in the first pic, and a newer one as well. I bought the adapters to allow them to run on propane tanks from BassPro. So now I have two multi fuel stoves

Coleman flat out rocks. As has been noted, they can sit for years and still fire right up when needed.

Yep I gotta stay away from the yard sales, flea markets and pawn shops.
I really don't need 15lanterns and 18 stoves.
Dang Coleman makes some good products.

These were all my dad’s, we used them camping all the time. I remember lantern catching on fire one time, things got interesting then, lol.

I remember waking up as a kid camping to the sound of the Colman tank pump. Yay pancakes are coming!

For you guys with compressed air, a quick squirt from a blow gun, into the thumb hole, and no more pumping! I go 100 psi.

I'm not sure what the pressure should be when manually pumping but 100psi seems excessive- I could be totally off though, I can't find a pressure rating.  I know it's possible to damage the tanks on the older brass lanterns by over-pressurizing them.

They used to make CO2 cartridge kits that you could buy to pressurize the tank without pumping.  Some used air gun CO2 cartridges while others used the shorter soda style.  I found one in my grandfather's camping stuff when we were cleaning up his house but I've never seen another in real life.  I'm not sure I'd use it but it's a neat piece of nostalgia.

I just picked up one of these old stoves from my Dad.  It looks rough but I enjoy tinkering with them.

We use ours when we are pressure canning from the garden. We fire it up out on the deck and it keeps the heat from building up in the kitchen.

Pretty nice!

They're fun to mess around with. I have too many, throw in the Sears models, Gold Bonds, Peak 1s and you start to trip over them.

Pro tip: the original three piece caps can be rebuilt with one NAPA o-ring. You'll need to disassemble the cap and burn the old one out.

Where are you getting part from?

Have 5-6 with different problems.

One was brand new and a o-ring in the dial rotted out. Good thing we lit it outside.
