They are the Sawed SP-194. I believe they have been discontinued. They were around $150-200ish if i remember correctly

Highwater filters had them on sale a while back.

The only reason I asked is because I see 'viruses' on the front of the box.  I have a Squeeze One and two Minis, but they don't filter that low.  I'm in Miami, so I'm not too worried about viruses, just basic filtering, since I live on a large man-made lake fed by our canal systems and viruses aren't a huge concern.

Thanks!

Chris

Pump some clean water through the Katadyns now.

Why? Does it help preserve the ceramic filters?

No. Because you will find minute ceramic dust in your water the first time or two that you pump water. If you REALLY NEED the water, it could be a bummer to have to pitch that water out.

Pump a couple quarts of clean water through, then disassemble rinse the filter in clean water and let it dry THOROUGHLY before you put it up.

This used to be mentioned in the manual the Pocket filters came with 100 years ago. Not sure if it's still mentioned in there now, but should be SOP for any ceramic filter ahead of time.

Besides, it's not just about having this stuff, you need to have experience using it, so it kind of forces that issue.
