Great job OP!
I always enjoy seeing your posts about hunting with your son. My first son is due next year and I can't wait to make similar memories! |

Looks like a great day - and some great dinners too!
Congrats and Merry.Christmas! |

Flaming Pig got its first pig ( guessing that’s a Noveske Pig?)
Lots of smiles - looks like some good memories were made. Congrats. |

Great job! Makes me wish it was summer time again so I can get back to night hunting

This is cool. Wish I would have had the opportunity to do this with my family.

Meet in the freezer with your own hand loads is a great feeling. My boys are young but I cannot wait for them to come hunting with me. Congrats

Nice shooting. Glad you got to spend some time with the family

Today’s hunt was very successful. I bagged a 190lb sow and my brother shot a 175 boar hog. My son has shot several hogs and just wanted to be in the stand with dad today. My SBR 300blk with my hand loaded ammo performed wonderfully. The morning started at 0250 and after an almost 2hour drive, my son, brother and I climbed into the tree stands at about 0550. The temperature was a cool 37 degrees here in Florida but felt much colder with the strong wind gusts we have had for the past few days. At around 0645, 15-20 hogs came into the area. It was still too dark to see clearly through our scopes, so we let all of them pass. There were some huge pigs in that bunch. We did not see anything else, so at 0750 we started climbing out of the stand. As soon as I hit the ground, they came back. I startled them and they all ran away. We then started our stalk on the ground. After about an hour on the ground, this nice red sow gave me a nice broadside shot at around 50yds. The 125gr Speer TNT and Trijicon TR24 did their job. She ran about 15-20 yards and piled up. I was so excited to know that my hand loaded ammo performed well on live game and I now have complete confidence in that load. This will be a mighty fine eating animal. I wish you could join us for pulled pork. https://i.postimg.cc/HnwDD07J/16-DE2-EFB-2585-43-F5-9-F47-936-A61-CE3984.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/QCGGyYVG/A5-EA1-BD2-9-BA0-4-FF8-90-C5-6547898-F897-F.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/xTPD6R2h/BE54996-F-8-DD6-4814-BA74-97900054-C794.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/VsncCwHY/F01-B05-C2-630-D-4554-832-B-5886-B71-BB454.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/j5kQxBPm/B4-B882-CC-352-F-41-AD-A9-BD-9416-F13-CB67-C.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/cHDFyHsN/58281-A89-51-B2-464-D-8-C0-F-C70774366-C34.jpg View Quote Nice job and great you've got the family doing it Looks like NE Florida? That's awesome
Glad to see y'all had a great time and a successful family hunt. Hope you and the family have a Merry Christmas! |

That's what its all about, spending time with family. If you can kill and grill some hogs while you're at it, that's even better.
i had to look at your state of residence. You look like a friend of mine that was in our Mustang group back in the 80s and early 90s named Pete. It wasn't really a club per se, but just a bunch of us that hung out together and cruised town, drag raced, and hung out together every weekend. We'd go to the beach every summer as well. There was about 25 cars and about 75 of us if you count girls we were messing with or dating, or were hanging around and our other friends. Merry Christmas to you and yours OP. |

nice job! makes me jealous, been a few years since I've had a chance to go hog hunting.
Stalking them on foot is by far the most fun. |
|
Good job OP. It's always great to see a man out hunting with his sons. Viddles look good too!

|
Nice job!
I love hunting with my boys. I haven’t shot anything in a few years, but don’t really care. As long as we’re all having fun. (They’ve been doing the shooting and heavy lifting) ???? |
