scouting a new area to hunt today and came across a pretty decent rub. Normally not in elk territory but this year I will be. Did see Elk track along with whitetail. Question being is there a good way to tell of this is elk or deer?

No way to tell unless there are tracks or scat around.
I've seen 800 lb bulls that would score well over 350 hook into small trees, large trees, whatever they fancy. |

Thanks for the insight! Didn't see any elk track or scat in the area, only deer. Pretty swampy and thick where I was outside of this area. Hoping its a monster whitetail. Elk tags are tough to get around here. |

I found some deer and elk sign on Sunday while deer hunting. Found this rub and will be back in November to see if we can meet up...
