Cool little boat, it would crumble under my care.
You may have more patience. |

Wood boats have a different feel to them than aluminum. If it’s a decent price and is wide enough to be stable go for it. You can always strip the paint and add fiberglass and resin.

A boat is a hole in the water surrounded by wood into which one pours money.

While it's true that opinions are like assholes and everybody has one please bear in mind that not everyone wants to see your ass.

Thank you so very much to the anonymous awesome person who gifted me a membership while I was on a 30 day timeout. I will pay it forward.

That boat needs a proper gaff-rigged sail, dagger board, and tiller.

It looks nice, if the price is good, I would buy that.

Wood boats require significantly more TLC than glass or steel boats.
Even more so if you're in the warmer southern water. If you treat it well, it will last a long time. |

I love how much quieter wooden boats are for hunting.
It is the maintenance involved that I do not own one. Although I am tempted to try make a coffin boat. But the plywood is out of sight. |

Although I may stick it outside, on its back, next to the garage (on the trailer) |

Yeah, I recognized the pitfalls of bending after drilling (weakened bend points at the holes).
So I put it in the vice and bent it a little between each hole. It worked. Drilled shallow holes into the keel and used a bedding compound that will take about a week to cure. |
