it will spill
BUT, you can fill the bottom then flip the top around upside down to keep the filters immersed if need be..... (do this in the sink or outside, water will squirt out) |

Can you just take them out and let them dry out and put them back in and reuse them when you get back to your location?
Will drying them out hurt them? |

What's the problem with letting them dry out and repriming them with the rubber washer?

Once wet, the activated charcoal will coat and oxidize. Sorry I don't know a way around it but its good to know I think, the strength of the Berkley is how much it has. Pack filters with Activated Charcoal, the life is typically only six months after initial use. The Berkley I think would be longer due to volume but limited nonetheless. If it was me, to prolong the effectiveness due to storage, I'd look at hermetically sealing it somehow so it will stop the water evaporation and limit O2 levels to what's in there. |

in our camper, we pull them, leave them wet, put in a ziplock and put them in the fridge. Hasn't hurt them yet.
