My fuel gauge died on my bay boat and my plan was to eventually upgrade the whole lot to a Yamaha 6yc system. Instead if replacing the fuel gauge, is there a way to connect my analog sending unit to my Garmin 741xs via the 0183 Rx wires?

Not an expert, but pretty familiar with Garmin. Also dont know the direct answer to your question, but im pretty sure the Garmin GFS10 im pretty sure connects to analog fuel level sensor and provides fuel flow rate as well. That may be one way to do it.

Thanks i'll look into that sensor and see if that will be a solution until I can get the 6YC.
