I have S6 up here.

I'm on 7.213. S1 noise level. The spectrum scope is flat. 40 just isn't working for me lately. Not after dark anyway. I made some contacts Sunday afternoon.

I'm checking out 80 meters. I hear someone tuning up on 3.861. It's more than I heard on 40 meters.

80 meter alternate 3.961 is clear if anyone wants to try that. I'll hang out there for a while.

Please, let me know if any of you, guys want to go to 80 meters?

ETA: Got nothing on 80m either.

40m propagation sucks tonight. Perhaps we should either try having the net earlier or use 80 meters band only, until days get longer.

Bump.
Anyone planning on participating tonight?
I'm not sure 40m., short range propagation will be good this late after sundown. We could start earlier but most guys will still be at work or driving home from work. 80m is probably a better option for this net until springtime. Any comments, suggestions, opinions, criticism? I know, I haven't been very enthusiastic lately. It's been a rough ride but I'm trying my best with what I got.....

I think 80M is going to be our best bet.

Ok but I only have a lousy "die-pole" for 80 meters.
Link Posted: 11/17/2020 8:19:10 PM EDT

DUPE due to both short and long path propagation. I only "mashed tha button" once.

I better go to the shack and find an 80 meter frequency that no one owns. Lots of frequency owner groups on that band

How about 3.861?

Not real strong, but got in again!  Gyprat was up and down with some QSB, between S5 and S9 on my 72' end fed wire.  I seem to have a good path on almost any band to SC. I can get in just about every week.   I love consistency!

I did ask if the frequency was used, several times. Oh well. I don't spend enough time on 80 meters to know where all the little nets are. We definitely should to revise the 80m frequencies on the Arfcom Frequency List.

11 check-ins tonight. 6 Arfcom member check-ins, to my best knowledge.

Yes, there is Eastern Regional Patriots net on 3.860 Mhz, every day that starts at 8:45 PM ET. I'm listening to them right now. Maybe will check in too.

Gyprat was booming here in VA. The frequency was clear when you tuned up. They should have moved, who starts talking 1kc below someone else...
