New year, what's up in your AOA?
River thawed and we have a bunch of Goldeneyes,  mallards are very strong.
I was at the co OP picking feed and all the locals couldn't believe the amount of ducks!
Woodies are in picking out nests, Canada's pairing,  mallards checking out the "nest"(duck blinds)
Sandhills are doing the mating dance...

Also, had a herd of 14 does trot through most l've ever  seen was 3 , and 2 different gobblers calling in the river bottoms.

Peak spring migration here in SD until last night with the 6-10" of fresh snow.
Millions of snow geese, ducks, and dark geese in the state right now.

Birds are here early and very little open water.
Lakes,ponds and rivers are all froze yet.

Birds will be landing in the overflow for awhile.

Lots of goslings around,  not big broods 5-8/ pair

Boat loads of juveniles flying around
No action from the woody boxes and Mallards are still sitting on nests

Looks down across the Pacific, Central, and Mississippi flyways... Atlantic looks to be ok, which is good since the majority of my hunting will be in NY, NJ, and MD this season.

Waterfowl have been gathering early here.
Middle of July they were gathering and starting to fly to eat wild berries.
