Had a big bodied/small racked 4 come in on opening day. Hit him with a homecast 405 from my .45-70 at 40 yards. He ran about 15 yards and stopped.
First shot would have killed him but when they stop within sight I hit them again. Kind of wish I'd have saved the cape, LOTS of white in the face. Pic is back at the house after rinsing out the cavity. Attached File |

My youngest got his first ever then I got one a few days later, during the Mo. firearms season back in November.
Both with a remmy 700 converted to 300 blk, topped with a cheap Leupold 3-9x40 rifleman, using 125 Sierra game kings. His was about a 30 yd shot, unsuppressed, mine about 80, suppressed. The SiCo hybrid is a little front heavy for him. Attached File Attached File |
